Business Profile

Rockeries We were asked to bring some life and excitement back in to a rockery after the last gardener left.

This was in Epping where they suffer from dry powdery clay.

Several wheelbarrows of waste soil had to be removed from between the boulders and replaced with a mix of mulch and compost to encourage a healthy micro-biosphere in the soil.

We fitted a complete automatic irrigation system and it's done absolute wonders for the soil health as it can be set to go off at 4:00 in the morning allowing the soil to retain the moisture for longer.

Slow release feed and growmore was also added to the soil to promote strong healthy growth along the rockery.

A huge range of plants were brought into add something different to the front garden. Notably Curry, Camomile, Thyme and Artichoke plants were used to transform it into a decorative kitchen rockery.

A mass of different bulbs was planted to give the rockery some spring pop!

Composite Decking Composite decking is becoming more popular as time goes on and it's no reason why!

Though more expensive than both soft and hardwood decking the advantages of composite massively outweigh the price difference.

For one did you know you should 'never' jet-wash timber decking? It completely ruins the grain, the proper way to renew timber decking is to sand it all back to open the wood grain so that it can soak up the decking oil/treatment.

This is made an even longer job if your decking has grooves as to do a proper job each grove should be sanded out.

On the other hand composite 'can' be jetwashed.

Composite also doesn't twist as there is no timber grain expanding and contracting at different rates.

Composite doesn't rot or splinter, avoiding a major hazard every autumn, winter and spring!

Traditional decks last around 10 to 15 years in a good condition but composite lasts twice that if not more with far less maintenance.

As can be seen in the pictures originally the customer had a greenhouse that she never used next to the pond.

The pond wasn't an enjoyed feature as there was no seating area anywhere near it.

We removed the glasshouse and fitted the composite curved edge deck that projected over the edge of the pond to make better use of the space.

Services We provide all forms of garden maintenance tailored to each client's individual needs.

We don't just maintain, we improve.
